SAINTE-ANNE 14°25.6’N, 60°53.2’W

Protected by the southeastern peninsula of Martinique, Sainte-Anne is one of the largest and most popular anchorages on the island. Mooring is allowed in front of the Sainte-Anne beach (at a distance of no less than 300 meters - marked by yellow buoys) and in front of Domaine de l’Anse Caritan on the northern stretch of the beach.



Le Rendez-Vous - (in the village - 05 96 76 90 36) - A nice restaurant on the seafront where you can enjoy creole specialties with an unbeatable view over the beautiful bay of Sainte-Anne. Direct access by dinghy.

Paille Coco (05 96 76 75 43) - This beach restaurant is another favorite hangout of yachtsmen and locals alike. Valérie and her staff serve tasty creole dishes, including grilled fi sh made from the catch of the day. Free wifi access for customers.

La Dunette (05 96 76 73 90) - Enjoy grilled specialties, local fi sh, fresh lobster or the drink of the day with tapas on the private dock. La Dunette also features local bands playing regularly. La Dunette has also 15 air-conditioned rooms with a terrace overlooking the bay, perfect for a few days break.

La Cour Créole (0596 62 59 18) - Gina and her staff welcome you with a warm atmosphere in an air conditioned dining room or courtyard side with a view of the bay. On the menu is light, quality food: combo sandwiches, gourmet salads, hot meals (sweet pork, ginger beef…).

Leader Laverie - Located at ex-Anse Caritan Hotel, accessible by dinghy, this self-service coin laundry is open daily and is equipped with modern washing and drying machines.

LE MARIN 14°26.7’N, 60°54.0’W

The marine center of Martinique offers everything for yachts and many professional services as well. Cul-de-Sac du Marin is a large protected bay with a modern marina including a new complex, moorings, haul-out facilities and hurricane holes (Petit Versailles and Trou des Cyclones)on the eastern side of the bay. Early 2018, the marina will be adding around 50 new moorings for rental (between the marina and beacon 7) in order to better organize the mooring area. The town of Le Marin is rich in history and was of signiff cant historical importance during the turbulent years of war with the English, and later as a sugar production center. Today, the marine industry is driving continued development.

Their workshop has hi-tech equipment including a 60 ton rod rigging machine and a swaging machine for up to 28mm. Their 300 square meter store on the ground floor of the blue building opposite Mango Bay and the dinghy dock, offers a wide selection of name brand merchandise - deck hardware, pumps, solar panels, stoves, safety equipment, electronics and watermakers. Caraïbe Marine offers prompt delivery of all special order items. On the 1st floor, they have a nice department with sailing gear and clothing from the best brands. Equinox (06 96 41 33 33) - Kashmir specialize in stainless and aluminum repairs and fabrication and will fi x anything from bimini frames to pulpits. He has his workshop next to SNSM (sea rescue).

EMC (05 96 74 02 14) - Jacques is a reliable yacht surveyor known for his qualitative surveys and experience. His office is on the first floor in the blue and pink building.

Mécanique Plaisance (05 96 74 68 74) is agent for Yanmar, Tohatsu, Volvo Penta, ZF, Honda, Perkins and Westerbeke. They stock a wide range of diesel and outboard engines, generators, spare parts and batteries. They will advise you in the repowering of your boat and will make any kind of repair after diagnosis. They have a new workshop and shop at Carenantilles boatyard.

Hervé, the owner, and his experienced staff can take care of any kind of sails and canvas jobs: new sails, repairs, biminis, dodgers, dinghy covers... Positioned along a dinghy dock, Incidences is equipped with a custom crane to lift sails directly into the premises. A traditional ? shing village with clear water and calm beaches. All the moorings that had been put at Grande Anse have been taken away. At the time we go to press, we have no information about future moorings to be placed again.

Across from the bustling city of Fort-de-France, this calm bay is popular with yachts. Located near restaurants, hotels and the resort district, Anse Mitan offers a number of services for tourists and ferry access to Fort-de-France.

W.I.N.D. (05 96 68 21 28) -They are located next to Contrôle Auto, in a 270 m2 2-storey building in Rivière-Salée. Wholesaler and importer, this company specializes in marine paints and composite materials. Lionel, the new manager, and his professional staff will advise you on the best solutions in paints, lacquer, varnish, epoxy resins, maintenance products adapted to our tropical conditions. W.I.N.D. also has the largest selection of flags and pennants in Martinique (standard flags or customised) and supplies a range of marine batteries. They also stock marine plywood.

Madinina Plongée Services (05 96 62 39 63 - located in Ducos, off the mainroad leading from Marin to Fort-de-France). In their 200 m2 store they provide all necessary diving and spear fi shing equipment, whether it is for purchasing, hiring or, secondhand. Their workshop is fully equipped to deal with any after-sales servicing: inflation and re-testing of cylinders.

FORT-DE-FRANCE 14°35.7’N, 61°04.5’W

The anchorage is on the east side of Baie des Flamands, below and west of Fort Saint-Louis. The vast dinghy dock makes landing easy and comfortable. Savannah Park and the Fort-de-France waterfront now incorporate a Malecón, a promenade which connects areas for concerts, cultural exhibits and ethnic dining.

The anchorage at Saint-Pierre extends more than a mile north and south of the town dock. Anchor close to the beach along the waterfront to find shallow water.
